National Relaxation of Lockdown: Anambra directs self isolation for returning public servants

Awka, May 21, 2020 (MOI) As a step toward containing the spread of Coronavirus disease in the state, Gov. Willie Obiano has ordered mandatory 14-day self Isolation for all public servants returning from outside Anambra.

This is contained in a release signed by the Anambra State Head of Service (HOS), Barr Harry Udu in his office at Awka on May 21.

A circular released from his office, re-emphasised that wearing of face masks still remained an entry criteria into any office. “civil servants must make proper use of the face masks.

“It is hereby re-emphasised that the face mask is actually meant for the nose and mouth and not for the jaws, pockets or purses, as now seems to be the vogue among public servants,’’ it said.

The release directed all Permanent Secretaries and Heads of Departments of MDAs to ensure full compliance with the directives by the state government. (MOI)
